As we have already reported, today in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) the premiere of a feature film about the history of the group Boney M will take place. The screening will be held as part of the out-of-competition program of the 5th LICHTER Filmfest International Film Festival, where not only filmmakers, but also masters of lighting design, specialists in the field of visual installations, computer animation, etc.

The Frankfurt Film Forum is a new stage in the development of contemporary art, attracting gifted people from all over the world.

The film "Boney M. aus Lämmerspiel" about the most successful musical project in the history of the German record industry (Boney M. has sold over 150 million albums and singles to date, not counting numerous compilations) will premiere at the Cinestar Metropolis, which is located in the heart of the center of Germany's financial capital. A film chronicle of the history of the legendary quartet was created by the independent company NESTfilm. The work on collecting archival materials, as well as shooting various episodes in Germany and the UK, was carried out for 8 years. By the way, all tickets for today's premiere are already sold out.

The show has reportedly sent out invitations to the main members of the band's classic line-up, as well as Boney M. creator/producer Frank Farian. So far, we do not have information if any of them will be able to come to Frankfurt and attend the show.

However, it is certain that an international group of fans of Boney M. will arrive today for this event. After the screening, a party for guests and the press is planned, as well as a discussion of the film on the sidelines of the festival center.

Премьера фильма "Boney M. aus Lämmerspiel" о самом успешном музыкальном проекте в истории немецкой рекорд-индустрии (на сегодняшний день Boney M. продали более 150 миллионов альбомов и синглов, не считая многочисленных сборников) состоится в кинотеатре Cinestar Metropolis, который находится в самом центре финансовой столицы Германии. Кинолетопись истории легендарного квартета создана независимой компанией NESTfilm. Работа по сбору архивных материалов, а также съёмка различных эпизодов в Германии и Великобритании осуществлялась в течение 8-ми лет. Кстати, все билеты на сегодняшнюю премьеру уже распроданы.
Согласно поступившим сведениям, организаторы показа разослали приглашения главным участникам классического состава группы, а также создателю и продюсеру Boney M. Фрэнку Фариану (Frank Farian). Пока мы не располагаем информацией, сможет ли кто-либо из них прибыть во Франкфурт и присутствовать на показе.

Однако точно известно, что интернациональная группа фанов Boney M. прибудет сегодня на это мероприятие. После киносеанса запланирована вечеринка для гостей и прессы, а также обсуждение картины в кулуарах фестивального центра.

Eine Verbindung zwischen Boney M., dieser schillernden Formation ranker Engländer mit karibischen Wurzeln, und einem verschlafenen Offenbacher Vorort erscheint nicht sonderlich naheliegend. Und dennoch: Boney M., die für eine der populärsten Discohits der 70er sorgten, kommen aus Lämmerspiel. Der schillernde Musikproduzent Frank Farian quartierte hier die Musiker ein, die er gecastet hatte, um seine Hitkompositionen vermarkten zu können. Den langen Weg vom Kneipenhinterzimmer zum Weltruhm erzählt dieser musikalische Heimatfilm und portraitiert dabei liebevoll seine Protagonisten und ihren Umgang mit den Widersprüchlichkeiten des Popgeschäfts.
