On the evening of December 16, 2011, the German TV channel RTL showed another issue of the popular "Die Ultimative Chart Show" program, which this time was devoted to determining the best collection of "Greatest Hits" over the past 50 years of the German record industry.
The finalists were such celebrity groups and performers as ABBA, Boney M., QUEEN, Michael Jackson, Bonnie Tyler and many others.
As always, a chart expert was invited to the RTL studio in Cologne, who, based on the data provided by the statistical service MusikMarkt, determined the places occupied by the most popular in Germany "Greatest Hits" albums.
"The Magic Golden Hits" (1980) by Boney M. was at №32 on the RTL chart at the time of the broadcast. According to the statistics announced, Frank Farian's group had 8 N1 hits in Germany between 1976 and 1979, which at the end of the decade formed the basis of the group's first highly successful compilation.
The LP entered the TOP10 of many European countries and became the third Boney M. album to reach the top of the British charts.
Boney M. vocalist Liz Mitchell was specially invited to Cologne to perform one of the album's biggest hits, "Sunny".
Well, the British group The Beatles with their collection of the best hits of 1962-1966 became the winners in the mentioned category. Second place went to their compatriots QUEEN for "Greatest Hits 2", third - Italian Eros Ramazzotti with the compilation "Eros".

Диск вошёл в TOP10 многих стран Европы и стал третьим альбомом Boney M., достигшим вершины британского чарта.
Лидер-вокалистка Boney M. Лиз Митчелл (Liz Mitchell) была специально приглашена в Кёльн, чтобы исполнить один из главных хитов этого альбома - "Sunny".
