The new recompilation of "The Magic Of Boney M." went on sale today

The new version of the successful compilation series "The Magic Of Boney M." is now available on all major digital platforms as well as physical media (colorful 2LP and CD).

Recall that the first collection "The Magic Of Boney M." was released in 1980 and became an international bestseller. The album reached N1 in the UK as well as in a number of other countries. This was later re-released on CD.

In 2006, an updated version of "The Magic Of Boney M." was released, supplemented with bonus tracks with a remix of the hit "Sunny" and a new song "A Moment Of Love", recorded by Frank Farian with vocals by Liz Mitchell. A special deluxe 2CD version contained an additional bonus track "Magic-Mega-Mix". The 2006 release also became a major international bestseller, reaching gold status in several key markets, including Germany.

Now, in 2022, Frank Farian and Sony Music have offered fans of the legendary Caribbean foursome another version of "The Magic Of Boney M.", which includes several remixes of popular hits (for example, "Rasputin" and "Daddy Cool"), and also a new recording of the mega hit "Rivers Of Babylon" in Spanish. Vocals for "Rios de Babylonia" were recorded by original Boney M. lead singer Marcia Barrett in late 2021. Recording of instrumental parts, backing vocals and final mixing was carried out in the Frank Farian's studios in Miami (USA).

The new release will be available worldwide, except for Russia, which is under international sanctions due to aggressive military actions against neighboring Ukraine.

Новая рекомпиляция "The Magic Of Boney M." сегодня поступила в продажу

В 2006-м году вышла обновлённая версия "The Magic Of Boney M", дополненная бонус-трэками с ремиксом хита "Sunny" и новой песней "A Moment Of Love", записанной Фрэнком Фарианом с вокалом Лиз Митчелл.

Теперь, в 2022-м году Фрэнк Фариан и Sony Music предложили поклонникам легендарной карибской четвёрки очередную версию "The Magic Of Boney M.", которая включает несколько ремиксов популярных хитов (например, "Rasputin" и "Daddy Cool"), а также новую запись мегахита "Rivers Of Babylon" на испанском языке.

Hooray! It's A Holi-Holiday" sind enthalten.

Sony Music.

FAR CORPORATION Original Vinyl Classic (2LP)
MCI/Sony Music, 2019

Frank Farian's rock project FAR CORPORATION (FC), which the famous German producer created in 1985 with the participation of superstars from such groups as TOTO, Barclay James Harvest and Thin Lizzy, has already survived several re-releases of its classic hits and famous cover versions like "Stairway To Heaven" and "Sebastian".
This time, FC is represented by a double vinyl LP from Farian's record label MCI and its distributor Sony Music. The set contains well-known albums of the group - "Division One" (1985) and "Solitude" (1994). At the time, "Solitude" was published only on CD, including in premium design with a dust jacket. However, now, to the delight of the fans, it will appear for the first time in the analog version.
The vinyl print of the 2019 is also presented in a new design, where the original covers are placed inside the main envelope.
In the accompanying annotation to the new edition, it is reported that the mastering was carried out from the original tapes with a digital phonogram, so the quality should be as close as possible to the sound of the very first pressing.
The European branch of the global online store Amazon offers a novelty for 22 euros in the German segment (30 euros in Spain), in the UK they ask for more than 31 pounds, while in Russia the Audiomania store put up a price tag of 1.815 rubles ($30) for a 2LP set.

Fans of Boney M. have found a rare edition of the "Oceans of Fantasy" album / Фаны Boney M. нашли редкое издание альбома "Oceans of Fantasy"

In the gigantic sea of offers on the international Internet auction eBay, avid collectors of rarities sometimes find quite unexpected things.

Just the other day it became known that in the German segment of eBay was offered a rare copy of the "double" album Boney M. "Oceans of Fantasy" (1979) Turkish production. To the surprise of even seasoned phylophonists, this release shocked them by the presence of the full version of the composition "Ribbons of Blue" (before that many believed that only a heavily edited version was always offered on the LP), alternative mixes of several tracks, as well as three bonus singles.

Unsurprisingly, even for a rather shabby copy, the owner asked for $80.

It is curious that two editions of "Oceans of Fantasy" were released in Turkey at once - 1LP and 2LP. Moreover, the 2LP version was packed in the same envelopes as the normal LP. Therefore, the track list on the cover remains the same (from 1LP edition). One could find out about the contents of the 2LP version only on the labels of the discs themselves.
