Вышедшие в начале августа два первых ремастированных альбома ERUPTION feat.Precious Wilson ("I Can't Stand The Rain" и "Leave A Light") собрали массу восторженных отзывов любителей музыки на крупнейших интернет-порталах, занимающихся продажей медиаконтента.
Напомним, что CD выпущены британской компанией BBR (по лицензии Sony Music) и включают не только отлично реставрированные фонограммы оригинальных альбомов, но и набор весьма редких бонус-трэков группы, которые ранее никогда не переиздавались на CD. 
Если реализация дисков пойдёт удачно, то компания рассмотрит вопрос о выпуске последующих работ ERUPTION. В частности, поклонники квинтета вполне могут рассчитывать на появление альбомов "Fight Fight Fight" (1980), "The Best Of ERUPTION" (1981), четырёх сольных альбомов Precious Wilson, а также целого ряда бонусов в виде макси-версий различных синглов.
Благодаря стараниям поклонников продукции компании Фрэнка Фариана (Frank Farian), которые атаковали офис Sony Music просьбами и требованиями выпустить, наконец, альбомы этих звёзд хит-парадов 70-х-80-х, удалось осуществить их давнюю мечту.

BBR is thrilled to present this first ever CD edition of ERUPTION FEATURING PRECIOUS WILSON in an expanded and remastered edition in a deluxe super jewel case with a brand new interview with PRECIOUS WILSON as well as five bonus tracks.

• Formed in 1969 as Silent Eruption, their members hailed from Ghana, Curaçao, Guyana, and Jamaica. Precious Wilson, who joined Eruption in 1974, would add an element to the band’s sound that would take them to dizzying heights of success all over the world.

• While on the road in Germany, Eruption was discovered by the talent scout of producer Frank Farian who had just achieved his major international breakthrough with Boney M and Eruption signed a contract with the German-based label Hansa.

• The disco-inflected debut single ‘Party Party’, written by keyboard player Gerry Williams would find its way to the top 20 in both Belgium and The Netherlands.

• For Eruption’s second Hansa single release, a disco cover version of the Ann Peebles classic ‘I Can’t Stand The Rain’ (backed with ‘Be Yourself’) was selected and issued in November 1977. ‘I Can’t Stand The Rain’ broke big in 1978 and, with Wilson’s powerful vocals, became a huge international hit. As well as making the top ten in most European territories, the single reached #5 in the UK, #18 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and even made #1 in Australia.

• Eruption’s self-titled debut was released in December 1977. The album features Eruption’s own disco-inflected songs such as ‘Computer Love,’ ‘Wayward Love,’ and ‘Be Yourself’. The band put a remarkable disco spin on the Staple Singers’ classic ‘I’ll Take You There,’ with a surprising arrangement and Wilson’s soulful vocals, as well as the group’s funky rendition of Brass Construction’s ‘Movin’,’ and the classic ‘The Way We Were,’ with an admirable take by Precious Wilson who made the song her own.

Legendary albums ERUPTION feat. Precious Wilson, recorded in the second half of the 1970s, went on sale in the European music market. 

The remastered soundtracks of the original LPs in the new CD reprints are supplemented with rare bonus tracks, and are also completed with solid booklets with detailed information about the musicians, authors and performers.

Unlike Frank Farian's other productions, which are usually distributed by media giant Sony Music, the first two ERUPTION albums are being re-released by his British sub-label Cherry Red Records/BBR, which specializes in rock and pop classics.

It should be noted that this is the first edition of the band's original albums on physical digital media. Previously, the BMG media group (and later its "heir" Sony BMG), which owned the rights to publish the FAR Music catalog, were limited to publishing collections, where at least 1/3 of the ERUPTION repertoire was presented in late remix versions, which were of little interest to fans of Farian and his artists. Now, almost 40 years after the release of the famous quintet's debut album, it is finally available in the original remastered mix.

"I Can't Stand The Rain" (1977) was followed by the next ERUPTION's musical blockbuster "Leave A Light" (1979) with the immortal hit "One Way Ticket". This is an even more luxurious deluxe edition, complete with a colorful booklet.

The discs have already appeared on such major trade portals as jpc.de (Germany) and amazon.co.uk (UK).

Необходимо отметить, что это первое издание оригинальных альбомов группы на цифровых носителях. Ранее медиахолдинг BMG (а позже его "наследник" Sony BMG), которым принадлежали права на публикацию каталога FAR Music, ограничивались изданием сборников, где не менее 1/3 репертуара ERUPTION было представлено в поздних ремикс-версиях, которые мало интересовали поклонников творчества Фариана и его артистов.

Long-awaited remastered editions of ERUPTION's classic disco-funk albums "I Can't Stand The Rain" (1977) and "Leave A Light" (1979) will be released via Big Break Records (BBR) in early August 2016.

Almost 40 years after the first release on the West German label HANSA International, these works by legendary producer Frank Farian's team are finally available on digital media. Prior to that, only compilations were released on CD, and many hits were presented there in later remix versions, which did not suit fans of the group's work. And now ERUPTION fans who have lived to see this bright day will be able to replenish their collections with two albums at once with the vocals of the unsurpassed Precious Wilson.

The British label BBR, which specializes in popular music of the 70s-80s, decided to please fans of disco and funk styles with extended versions of these classic albums. In addition to having solid booklets with the band's biography and detailed credits, the albums are complemented by several bonus tracks.

This is also a great gift for all fans of Frank Farian, whose 75th birthday was celebrated on July 18, 2016.

Recall that during the entire anniversary year (2016-2017), we expect new releases from the famous producer. And these are not only music publications, but also a documentary film about the scandalous pop duo MILLI VANILLI (the premiere took place on July 23 on the ARTE TV channel) and a large European tour of Farian's musical DADDY COOL.
