Трансляция из Дюссельдорфа проходила при пустом зале из-за продолжающегося карантина, связанного с пандемией COVID-19. Тем не менее это нисколько не охладило пыл участников конкурса, стремящихся к достижению заветной цели в виде значительного денежного приза и признания многомиллионной аудитории.

На этот раз авторы программы решили нарушить традиционный ход соревнований пар, предложив в заключении 3-часового шоу устроить необычный баттл Boys vs Girls. Участники разделились на две команды по гендерному признаку, чтобы выяснить отношения на танцполе. В результате победили представительницы прекрасной половины человечества.

В качестве саундтрэка для танцевальной битвы был предложен микс из классических поп-хитов, включая набирающий популярность ремикс Majestic & Boney M. "Rasputin", который проходил лейтмотивом через все музыкальные темы.
