By the way, some large online stores like the aforementioned amazon and jpc publish their own sales charts. And, as we reported earlier, the positions of the new Boney M. release are quite impressive.
So, on the jpc.de portal, the DIAMONDS 3DVD video collection reached the 26th place in the general list among multimedia products (CD/DVD/Blu-ray/Super Audio CD/DVD Audio/LP), which is a very good indicator, since the JPC catalog (as well as amazon) has hundreds of thousands of titles.
The situation is similar on amazon.de. Three editions of Boney M. DIAMONDS on CD, DVD and LP (included in the most expensive FAN BOX set) also made it to the TOP100 in various categories.
One of the first owners of the luxurious DIAMONDS box was Boney M.'s lead vocalist Liz Mitchell, who arrived in Berlin on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the group, as well as to participate in various events and filming a TV show, one way or another connected with this date. The gift to the legendary singer was presented by DJ and mix master John Munich (John Munich is the stage name of the son of the popular performer of German smash hits Udo Jurgens), who confessed to Liz that he loves Boney M.'s music and seeks to instill this love in the younger generation.
The remix of the immortal hit "Sunny", which was included in the bonus disc of the DIAMONDS audio release, was made by John Munich together with his colleagues.
“Young people love these mixes and they love to dance to them in clubs,” John said.
Liz Mitchell was flattered by the attention that the RTL film crew witnessed (they are filming a new documentary about the group's history) and the Dutch fan club Liz Mitchell, who contributed to the release of the Boney M. anniversary collection and also arrived in Berlin for the celebrations.
The Berlin office of Sony Music hosted a special 40th birthday reception for Boney M., which was also attended by FAR Music production coordinator Ingrid "Milli" Segieth. The famous rock band Scorpions was also honored there at the same time on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
Liz Mitchell and Klaus Meine (lead vocalist of the Scorpions) unexpectedly met again in such a solemn atmosphere. As a reminder, they last saw each other at the grand premiere of the Boney M_usical DADDY COOL in the German capital in April 2007. Then Klaus was among the guests of honor who were invited to his show by Frank Farian.
Liz Mitchell will present a new song in Hannover today, which she co-recorded with Frank Farian for the anniversary release of DIAMONDS.
The TV premiere of the new song will take place on the ZDF channel on April 2nd.

Напомним, что в последний раз они виделись на грандиозной премьере Boney M-юзикла DADDY COOL в столице Германии в апреле 2007 года. Тогда Клаус был в числе почётных гостей, которых пригласил на своё шоу Фрэнк Фариан.
Сегодня Лиз Митчелл представит в Ганновере новую песню, которая была записана совместно с Фрэнком Фарианом для юбилейного релиза DIAMONDS.
Телепремьера состоится на канале ZDF 2 апреля.
