The German state media holding DW ("Deutsche Welle"), which broadcasts via a global satellite system and on the Internet in all major languages of the world, has summed up the performance of the German record industry over the past 45 years.
In today's edition of the TV program "popXport", the list of winners of the rating in the most prestigious category was announced. Like 5 years ago, the best musical export of the most prosperous European country is Frank Farian's project Boney M.
Back in 1986 (after the end of the official existence of the group), one of the respected German music experts wrote in the magazine Der Spiegel: "Boney M. is our musical Mercedes, which hardly anyone can compare with." As you can see, after so many years, the position of the absolute leader has not changed.
To date, almost 160 million copies of the legendary band's albums and singles have been sold worldwide. They have received many awards from the music industry (including the British Carl Alan Award, Goldene Europa, etc.), about 200 gold and platinum discs, and are also listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
In April 2015, Boney M. received the "Diamond Disc", the music industry's highest award, for selling over 150 million records. Only a few such trophies in the world of pop music can boast of such as Michael Jackson, ABBA, Celine Dion and THE BEATLES.
Recall that the rating was obtained by the German statistical service MediaControl and a group of music experts based on an analysis of the number of sold sound carriers and positions in the world charts from 1970 to the present.
If we compare the current rating with a similar list 5 years ago, we should note the disappearance of Dieter Bohlen's Modern Talking project from the TOP10. This is explained by the fact that during the specified period, the Modern Talking group did not appear on the charts outside of 3 German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
В сегодняшнем выпуске телепрограммы popXport, состоялось оглашение списка победителей рейтинга в самой престижной категории. Как и 5 лет назад, лучшим музыкальном экспортом наиболее преуспевающей европейской страны признан проект Фрэнка Фариана (Frank Farian) Boney M.

Как видим, по прошествии стольких лет положение абсолютного лидера не изменилось.

В их активе множество наград музыкальной индустрии (в том числе британская Carl Alan Award, Goldene Europa и др.), порядка 200 золотых и платиновых дисков, а также занесение в книгу рекордов Гиннесса.
В апреле 2015 года Boney M. получили "бриллиантовый диск" - высшую награду музыкальной индустрии за реализацию более 150 миллионов звуконосителей.
Такими трофеями могут похвастаться лишь считанные единицы из разряда артистов первой величины вроде Michael Jackson, ABBA, Celine Dion, THE BEATLES...
Напомним, что рейтинг получен статистической службой Германии MediaControl и группой музыкальных экспертов на основе анализа количества проданных звуконосителей и позиций в мировых чартах с 1970 года по настоящее время.

Если сравнивать нынешний рейтинг с аналогичным списком 5-летней давности, то следует отметить исчезновение из TOP10 столь почитаемого в России проекта Дитера Болена (Dieter Bohlen) Modern Talking. В прошлом он держался на 10-й позиции.
Объясняется это тем, что за указанный период MT не появлялись в ТОП-чартах за пределами 3-х немецкоязычных стран.
