Phyllisia - Wind Beneath My Wings

Already at the age of 3 years Phyllisia Ross (Phyllisia) felt that her vocation was to work on the stage. The girl constantly arranged impromptu performances in front of relatives and friends. True, her father had a different opinion on this matter. He dreamed that his daughter would become a medic. But, realizing that Phyllisia knows better what she wants, he didn’t interfere with her, and even bought a piano when Phyllisia was 5 years old. The father made this decision immediately after he saw that she was playing the neighbor's piano.

Unfortunately, when Phyllisia was barely 10 years old, her father died. It was a violent drama for a little girl. She vowed to herself that in memory of her father she would receive a medical education, and thus fulfill his wish. Since then, the dream of a career in show business has been supplemented by the desire to get the profession of a doctor. Over the next few years, thanks to the support of her mother, she improved her musical abilities by taking vocal and piano lessons.

Today Phyllisia is an accomplished pianist and singer. She also fulfilled an unspoken promise made to her late father by enrolling in a biology department at Florida State University. The girl successfully combined her studies and her further growth as a performer.

According to Phyllisia herself, meeting famed producer Frank Farian and signing the first contract with his label MCI was "an act of divine conduct." When Farian first heard Phyllicia's soulful and powerful voice, he immediately ordered his staff to track down the girl, as he was convinced that she was "a rare talent from God." At the age of 16, she recorded the song "Wind Beneath My Wings" as a tribute to her late father. It was the first of several songs on her demo CD. For the song "Wind Beneath My Wings", Farian's company has produced Phyllisia's debut video, which we bring to your attention.
