A limited green vinyl reissue of ERUPTION's "Leave A Light" will be available in August

The British group SILENT ERUPTION was founded by immigrants from Ghana, Curaçao, Guyana and Jamaica in 1969. Soloist Precious Wilson, who has an outstanding voice, joined the project in 1974. The beginning of their career in the UK was rather modest, but after they were spotted by the assistant of the famous producer Frank Farian during a tour of West Germany, the artists gained international fame. Farian, who by that time had gained fame thanks to his work with Benny, Gilla, Charly Marks, The Falcons, Boney M. and some other European performers, transformed the group into the ERUPTION project. Thanks to their collaboration, such global bestsellers as "I Can't Stand The Rain", "One Way Ticket", "Valley Of The Dolls" and a number of others were born. 

"Leave A Light" became the second album of the group, recorded under the direction of Farian. It featured their signature funky sound combined with Eurodisco. The album's first single was a cover of Caston & Majors' "Leave A Light (I'll Keep A Light In My Window)", followed by "One Way Ticket" (a cover of Neil Sedaka's 1960s hit). It hit the TOP 10 bestsellers in continental Europe and the UK.

The new re-release on light green vinyl will be released in a limited edition of 750 copies, so we advise audio collectors and fans of the band's work not to miss this opportunity and pre-order in advance. Die Mitglieder der 1969 unter dem Namen Silent Eruption gegründeten Band stammten aus Ghana, Curaçao, Guyana und Jamaika. Precious Wilson, die 1974 zu Eruption stieß, fügte dem Sound der Band ein Element hinzu, das zu ihrem internationalen Erfolg führte. Auf einer Tournee durch Deutschland wurden sie von dem Talentsucher und Produzenten Frank Farian entdeckt, der auch als Gründer von Boney M., Milli Vanilli und La Bouche bekannt ist.

1979 veröffentlichten Eruption ihr zweites Studioalbum "Leave A Light", das ihren charakteristischen funky Euro-Disco-Sound enthielt. Long-awaited remastered editions of ERUPTION's classic disco-funk albums "I Can't Stand The Rain" (1977) and "Leave A Light" (1979) will be released via Big Break Records (BBR) in early August 2016.

Almost 40 years after the first release on the West German label HANSA International, these works by legendary producer Frank Farian's team are finally available on digital media. Prior to that, only compilations were released on CD, and many hits were presented there in later remix versions, which did not suit fans of the group's work. And now ERUPTION fans who have lived to see this bright day will be able to replenish their collections with two albums at once with the vocals of the unsurpassed Precious Wilson.

The British label BBR, which specializes in popular music of the 70s-80s, decided to please fans of disco and funk styles with extended versions of these classic albums. In addition to having solid booklets with the band's biography and detailed credits, the albums are complemented by several bonus tracks.

This is also a great gift for all fans of Frank Farian, whose 75th birthday was celebrated on July 18, 2016.

Recall that during the entire anniversary year (2016-2017), we expect new releases from the famous producer. The famous ERUPTION's albums "I Can't Stand The Rain" (1977) and "Leave A Light" (1979) with the unique vocals of Precious Wilson are scheduled for re-release on the British record label BBR (BIG BREAK RECORDS) under license Sony Music.

On its Internet resources, the company has already posted announcements about the imminent release of new products. According to the synopsis, these will be "expanded remastered editions".

For the first time in digital format, maxi versions of a number of the band's hits will be officially released, as well as their early recordings that were not available on CD. This will be a real treat for fans in 2016, when ERUPTION's legendary producer Frank Farian celebrates his 75th birthday.
