A new remix by British DJ Majestic developed and consolidated the popularity of this 43-year-old track. In terms of the length of stay in the international charts, the remix even surpassed the original, although it did not reach the highest positions, as it was in 1978.
For over a year now, "Rasputin" has been on the top digital download charts in various regions of the world. At the same time, despite the protracted pandemic, the onset of Christmas has not been canceled. "Rasputin" is gradually being replaced by the evergreen Christmas bestseller "Mary's Boy Child/Oh My Lord" and the super successful compilation "Christmas with Boney M." The album and single have already returned to the iTunes TOP 100 in a number of countries and will traditionally expand their audience in the next 5 weeks. For example, today these releases are in the top 100 iTunes/Apple Music sales in countries such as South Africa, Canada, Sri Lanka, Denmark, Namibia, Kenya, Nigeria, etc.
At the same time, such hits as "Rivers of Babylon" and "Ma Baker", in which users of Shazam and iTunes services are showing interest, have not been forgotten. That being said, "Rasputin" is still popular on all major digital platforms (iTunes, Apple Music, Shazam, Spotify).
